Budget hostel in Bangkok: ETZZZ hostel

Budget hostel in Bangkok: ETZZZ hostel

After a chat with a British Backpacker who was staying at the same dorm at Huan Lanphong, I decided to move to a cheaper and better hostel.

I wanted to stay at the Lumpini Park area, a very nice and green part of Bangkok, near the capital’s biggest park and Muay Thai stadium. I wanted to see more than the same-same area most backpackers see and after 3 months traveling around in 3 countries, I needed to relax.

What do I search for when hunting for a Budget hostel in Bangkok?  Location, cleanness, facilities and great price/quality.

I chose the ETZZZ hostel, it was cheaper than other ones, offering top location near the Metro station which connected with the Airport. It had great reviews, seemed nice and offered everything I needed, plus a rooftop hang out area with views over Bangkok’s slyline , what else could I ask for?

I’m really glad I made that choice. This hostel was a great price-quality option, the other travelers around were very friendly, and the dorms were very quiet, spacious and had lockers. Each bunk bed has it’s own light and a little shelf where you can put a book or a water bottle. A nice little detail!

Most of the people I’ve met were a bit older and were also trying to escape the Khao San Rd. Mania! Everyone was very respectful and I met great people here.

There are plenty of bathrooms/ showers spread in every floor. There’s air-con a bar at the top and 3 computers you can use 24/h. There a indoor hang out area with cable TV and super comfy sofas.

The whole hostel was very clean and pleasant.

The prices might vary depending on the season, check out their website for the latest deals.

I would recommend this gem for everyone visiting Bangkok!

  1. So cozy! It actually looks like one hostel I stayed in Brussels last summer. How much did you pay per night? I can only guess it was more than $10 a person.
