Vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Brighton

Vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Brighton

The vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Brighton are everywhere. This is one of UK’s coolest cities to visit!

Brighton is one of the most colorful, vibrant and progressive cities in the UK and before returning home, I wanted to check out this small southern city, 50 minutes from London.

With vegetarian and vegan cafes and restaurants everywhere, colorful bookstores, beautiful little houses, flowers and clean streets… I felt miles away from chaotic, gray London.

Although the sun was shining bright, it was very cold and windy. Still, having some sunshine after 1 year of gray days in London ,felt like a treat. And there’s a reason why Brighton is called Brighton: the sun seems brighter here than anywhere else in the UK!

A sunny but very cold day, my dog seems to enjoy it!

My dog, Toosha, was delighted with Brighton. She suffered a lot with the lack of warmth and sunshine and seem to be really happy for the day.

I have to admit that for a few moments, I even considered moving here and commuting on a daily basis to London, so I wouldn’t have to quit college. But realistically speaking, I couldn’t afford that…

One of the aspects that fascinated me, was the great collection of street art. Great murals, and graffiti give even more color to this amazing little coastal city.

Some of them were really impressive like this one bellow.

If I’d have to come back to the UK, for some reason, I’d seriously consider living in Brighton instead of London.

People were extraordinarily warm and friendly, the city is clean, easy to walk every where. And, the sun shines more hours here than in most British cities, that alone is a plus! It seems to me that healthy eating is very strong in here, so the vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Brighton can be found all over the place.

One of the most beautiful graffities

We went for lunch at the Indian vegetarian Buffet, which serves a great variety of  pure vegetarian dishes at a great price.

The quality and variety was far superior to the Indian vegetarian buffet we used to eat in London.

The 3 of us stuffed our bellies till we couldn’t zip our pants!
